Overview

The brief.

Volta Studio came to me with a clear problem — they had strong work but a brand that didn't reflect it. Their existing identity was generic, forgettable, and said nothing about what made them different from every other creative studio competing for the same clients.

The brief was to build a brand identity from the ground up — a visual system that felt bold and confident without being loud, that communicated craft and precision, and that could scale across print, digital, and motion without losing coherence.

The Challenge

Related features, inconsistent patterns

The product asks people to move between page editing, subscription decisions, and managing other digital products. When navigation, controls, and visual patterns vary between these areas, users have to relearn the interface. The team also needs a reliable way to expand the product without remaking common decisions on every screen.

the solution

Key decisions

I reviewed the core journeys and organised dashboard entry points so a user can find a product, read its current status, and continue the relevant task. Primary actions are clearly separated from management controls. I refined page customisation and upgrade flows so people can understand what an option changes before proceeding.

In parallel, I defined typography, colour, spacing, navigation, cards, forms, dialogs, and pricing patterns in a Figma design system. Component naming and usage guidance make the system useful for new features, not only for the screens shown in this case. Responsive rules preserve the important actions when modules reflow.

Outcome

The project gained a shared design language and more coherent flows across its dashboard and paid tools. This case should show how the system solved a product problem: related features feel connected, while each workflow retains the controls it needs.
