Overview
The brief.
Volta Studio came to me with a clear problem — they had strong work but a brand that didn't reflect it. Their existing identity was generic, forgettable, and said nothing about what made them different from every other creative studio competing for the same clients.
The brief was to build a brand identity from the ground up — a visual system that felt bold and confident without being loud, that communicated craft and precision, and that could scale across print, digital, and motion without losing coherence.
The Challenge
Different financial information, one interface
Balances, activity, conversion, and available actions each answer a different question. Combining them without hierarchy can make information look interchangeable or make an action appear more important than the account state. Early decisions about terminology, navigation, and components would also affect later features.
the solution
Key decisions
I mapped core journeys, then organised the product around wallets, transaction history, conversion, and dashboard information. Wireframes helped separate the current state from the action a user can take. Responsive designs adapt navigation and information density to smaller screens while keeping the same terms and decisions.
I established typography, colour, and reusable patterns for financial data, cards, forms, and navigation. The UI foundation gave the team a shared starting point for reviewing and extending the experience, alongside prototypes and handoff specifications.
Outcome
The project moved from a broad concept to defined journeys, responsive interface designs, and a documented UI foundation. Present this as early-stage product design and handoff, without implying a public launch unless confirmed.
